What is the difference between Die-cut and Kiss-cut stickers?
Die-cut stickers are cut so that the sticker and backing as the same shape. Once cut there is no backing left around the sticker once peeled. This works well for give aways at events and selling as merchandise and can be more difficult to peel than a more traditional Kiss-cut Sticker.
Kiss-cut Stickers are a square or circle backing sheet with the sticker cut into the shape. When peeled this leaves extra backing around the edges. These are much easier to peel and much more useful for using during the packaging process.

How White Ink Printing Works
Usually the coloured parts of clear stickers are slightly translucent once printed. However, we offer the option of white ‘under-printing’ which ensures these parts are a solid colour. It can also make colours richer and more vibrant.

Our state of the art printers lay a layer of white ink to sit behind your clear sticker design to ensure that the print comes out as a solid colour to give a much more vibrant finish.
No White Ink
The print goes straight onto the clear sticker resulting in a slightly translucent finish and white areas appearing transparent.

Are clear stickers really transparent when applied?
Yes. Our clear stickers are printed on transparent vinyl, meaning only your design shows when applied. The background remains see-through, making them ideal for glass, plastic, product packaging and windows. For best results, apply to smooth, clean surfaces so the transparency looks seamless.
Can I order clear stickers for glass jars, bottles or windows?
Absolutely. Clear stickers are perfect for glass jars, candle labels, drink bottles, shop windows and cosmetic packaging. Because the material is transparent, they give a clean “printed directly onto the surface” look, ideal for premium product branding.
If applying to darker surfaces, we recommend adding white ink so your design stays vibrant.
Are your clear stickers waterproof and suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. Our clear vinyl stickers are waterproof and weather-resistant, making them suitable for outdoor use, refrigerated products and packaging exposed to moisture. They won’t smudge in the rain and hold up well in normal UK weather conditions.

What is white ink on clear stickers and do I need it?
Transparent material does not print white by default. If your design contains white elements, or you’re applying the sticker to a dark surface, we can add white ink underprinting.
This creates opacity behind your colours so they don’t appear washed out. If you're unsure, our team will advise during proofing.
Will colours look different on transparent stickers?
Colours printed on clear material can appear lighter if applied to dark backgrounds. That’s because the surface shows through. To keep colours bold and accurate, we recommend white backing behind key design elements.
